For over 60 years, the Town of Qualicum Beach, in partnership with the Regional District of Nanaimo, has brought you the Ocean Mile Swim - a chance to get your name on one of the coveted trophies in 14 award categories. The Ocean Mile Swim tests your skills in just “one” mile at the Qualicum Beach waterfront. Competition is friendly, the setting is quaint, and you’ll be registering every year for this all ages event.
This year there were 54 participants of all ages and levels that were competing for 15 awards. A huge thank you to all the volunteers and organizations that helped with the event including Emcee Matt Breedlove, RCMP, Coast Guard, Streamkeepers, Dragonfly SUP and RDN Volunteers including the Leaders in Training.
