The Legion (Br. 76) is hosting the Battle of the Atlantic Remembrance Ceremony this year.

The service itself will take place in the hall and will be followed by a parade on Veterans’ way (weather permitting) with a wreath laying ceremony at the cenotaph. All members are encouraged to attend, in Legion uniform if you have one. Those attending are asked to be seated in the hall no later than 10:15 am. The public is welcome to attend.

The Service commemorates the Battle of the Atlantic during WWll; and honours the members of the Royal Canadian Navy, Royal Canadian Airforce and the Canadian Merchant Navy who sacrificed so much during that conflict. Invited guests include the Mayors of Nanaimo, Lantzville, Parksville, Qualicum Beach; Qualicum First Nations Chief, Regional District of Nanaimo Chair; our MLA and MP; Commanding Officers of CFB Comox, CFMETR, and Oceanside RCMP Detachment.
