Council Meetings and Public Input

Pursuant to Council Procedure Bylaw No. 733, 2019, members of Council may participate in meetings utilizing electronic or other communication facilities.

• Comments for a particular regular Council meeting must be submitted no later than 12:00 pm two business days following the regular Council meeting.
• Submissions must be related to business discussed at the meeting and no longer than 300 words.
• Submissions will be distributed to all of Council and a brief summary of the comments will be included in the minutes.
• Submissions relating to closed public hearing topics will not be distributed to Council.
• Submissions unrelated to the meeting will not be included in the minutes.
• Comments must include a full name and address in order to be submitted for the minutes.

Correspondence Log

All correspondence addressed to Council members is tracked by the Town and added to a monthly Correspondence Log. The Correspondence Log is published in the Regular Council agenda each month and is available for public viewing at the Town Hall front counter. Each correspondence is reviewed, with any personal or sensitive information redacted to ensure compliance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Members of the public are welcome to request a copy of any item listed in the log.
