Into the Woods Childcare Centre

Project Overview
The Town has awarded almost over $2 million in provincial funding to construct “Into the Woods Early Learning Studio”, to provide 37 new affordable spaces for children aged three years to kindergarten, and offering extended hours of operation.

The monies fully funded the creation of the studio which is 3,269 square feet, with an outdoor play area, and set within the Town-owned community park.

The facility will be operated by a non-profit society, and is a key step in addressing a critical need within our community, especially for underserved populations.

The facility is situated in the Town-owned community park near the intersection of Park Road and Dorset Road, nestled within a mature stand of native forest. The studio will provide opportunities for children and operators to engage with nature, both indoors and outdoors.

Families interested in applying for a spot in the Into the Woods Early Learning Studio can email Karen.Charlesworth1@gmail.com.
