Overview
The World Health Organization has declared the COVID-19 virus to be a worldwide pandemic (the consistent spread of a new disease around the world in a population that has not yet gained immunity). The BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) and the BC Ministry of Health are closely monitoring the situation and will provide guidance, via Island Health to the Town.

Services & Facilities

  • Town Hall - open to the public from 9am to 1pm (staff are available 9am - 4pm at 250 752 6921 or email qbtown@qualicumbeach.com)
  • Civic Centre - open for bookings that meet COVID criteria
  • Community Hall - open 2 for bookings that meet COVID criteria
  • BMX Park - open
  • Beach showers - closed
  • Beach Washrooms - open 7am to 7pm
  • Veterans’ Way Washrooms - open 7am to 5pm daily
  • Leigh House Washrooms - open 8am to 5pm daily
  • Field House washrooms - closed
  • Digital Media Studio - closed
  • Town Hall Parkade - 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday (closed statutory holidays)
  • Playgrounds - June 12
  • Qualicum Beach Memorial Golf Course - open
  • Tennis Courts - open
  • Skateboard Park - open
  • Sports Fields - open

  • Public Library - open on Tues (9am - 8pm), Wed-Sat (9am- 5pm) for curbside pickup only.

  • The Provincial Health Officer issued an order to prohibit all gatherings of 50 or more people.
  • Council Meetings and Committee of the Whole Meetings will be conducted electronically - for more details see here

Stepping up Hygiene

  • All municipal facilities are being cleaned more frequently, especially doors and common areas.
  • Staff are following proper hand washing protocols, and respiratory etiquette for coughing and sneezing.
  • Staff are being encouraged to stay home if they feel ill.
