    Berwick Developments will be pouring concrete on Friday, January 11 from 1 to 5 pm. The laneway off Second Avenue West and adjacent to the Royal Bank will be closed intermittently between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm, with traffic control personnel on site to assist.

    Safe Sidewalks

    The Town of Qualicum Beach maintains 15kms of sidewalks within the Town. Our goal is to ensure a safe network of sidewalks for the use of all pedestrians. We welcome you to report the locations of tripping hazards either by telephone (250.752.6921) or by email ( Hazards are marked with bright paint until a crew can be scheduled to repair the sidewalk.

A warming centre was set up at the Qualicum Beach Civic Centre for residents in the Oceanside area affected by the recent storm event. As power is being restored to many areas and those still without power are making arrangements to support themselves, the need for a warming centre has diminished. For this reason, the warming centre will close at 6pm today, December 24, 2018.
For Parksville-Qualicum Beach residents still without power following the windstorm earlier this week, the warming centre set up at the Qualicum Beach Civic Centre (747 Jones Street, Qualicum Beach) will remain open until at least December 24 at 6 pm. Emergency Management Oceanside was advised today that BC Hydro expects many areas will have power restored by Christmas Day.
Parksville-Qualicum Beach residents who are still without power following yesterday’s wind storm may wish to consider visiting the warming centre at the Qualicum Beach Civic Centre (747 Jones Street, Qualicum Beach), hosted by Emergency Management Oceanside.
The warming centre will be open Dec 21, 22, and 23 from 9 am to 6 pm.
The Town of Qualicum Beach will be participating in a retirement flyby for the Royal Canadian Air Force’s CH-124 Sea King helicopter. The flyby route will be directly over the Town of Qualicum Beach by mid-morning on December 17th or 18th, 2018, weather dependent, at an altitude of 500 feet.
Electrical Utility Works for the new Berwick Retirement Community will begin Monday, December 10, 2018. Traffic control will be on site on Harlech Road and in the laneway behind the Berwick building parallel to Second Avenue. Thank you for your patience with these disruptions as we work to improve our community!
The December 10, 2018 regular meeting of Council has been postponed to December 17, 2018 at 7pm in the Council Chamber of Town Hall.
The Town of Qualicum Beach will be participating in The REDress Project, an installation art project response to the critical national issue of missing or murdered Aboriginal women across Canada. The REDress display will formally open with a blessing on Tuesday, November 27 at 9:30 am, in the main hall foyer of Town Hall, 660 Primrose Street, Qualicum Beach. The public is invited to attend.
