As of noon September 2nd, 2010 the fire ban for the Qualicum Beach fire protection area will be lifted due to cooler temperatures and increased precipitation. This is in conjunction with the burn ban lifting within the Costal Fire Center. Fire Patrols will still be patrolling throughout the final weekend of summer, finishing off a very successful and uneventful fire season.
